"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Perry, Romney and Huntsman Differ Sharply on Climate Change with Sen Inhofe Video

This article showing Romney's comments on top of Huntsman attack of Perry yesterday on Global Warming made me want to laugh.  I am a constituent of Senator Inhofe so have had the privilege of hearing him speak on the subject for years -- my fondest memory is when he called it 'junk science' and he never wavered.  He knew he was right that the statics were being manipulated to suit an agenda.  He has been proven right over the last almost two years as more and more scientists are coming forward with the real facts.
Oklahoma Republican Inhofe is an outspoken critic of global warming crusaders. (Understatement)
Marc Morano writes on his Climate Depot website: “As the former writer of Sen. Inhofe’s floor speeches, I say kudos to Perry! Romney is in deep trouble on this issue. Gore praising Romney’s warmist climate views makes it even tougher for Romney to appeal to GOP voters.”
This You Tube video of Senator Inhofe taking on a Global Warming Alarmist Attempted Ambush was too funny -- it is vintage Inhofe and why most Oklahomans are proud he is our Senator and has been on the front lines against 'junk science' -- only the liberal progressives here cannot stand him which is a plus for the Senator:

Guess Romney and Huntsman missed the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference in 2009 that blew up when the facts came out that scientists had been manipulating the data to support the Global Warming agenda.

Let's put on our investigative hat for a minute with a simple question to be answered:  Why would the two Mormons in the race be supporting the liberal, progressive Al Gore and Obama position on Global Warming?  No conservative I have ever met would support the Progressive Global Warming position versus the Senator Inhofe position. Didn't take long to find the answer.  In 2009 before the conference on climate change blew up, this was happening in the Mormon Church:
On March 28th, the LDS Church participated in Earth Hour by dimming the lights of the Salt Lake temple for one hour. On April 2nd, church leaders met with globalist global warming crusader Al Gore. Rumor has it that the LDS church leadership will make a statement on global warming in General Conference this weekend. Do you think that LDS Church leaders have lost their marbles?
Does this mean that the LDS Church is now on the man-made global warming bandwagon? Talk-show host Bob Lonsberry seemed to be worried about it on KNRS 570 this morning. (Segment begins at 1 hour, 16 minutes into the program). Here's a small part of what he said during an 8-minute segment:
Most other churches in America have bought into the global wrming cult and I don't want to say I'm nervous, but if I had my druthers, I would hope the LDS Church would not...
But last Saturday night when they had that cockamamey turn out your lights for an hour...deal, I was disappointed to see that the lights on the temple were turned off. As an act of symbolism, I didn't like that a bit...
...because the temple is symbolic of God and truth and I honestly think this global warming thing is an idol that is being worshiped. It is a false god. It is a cult. It is nothing short sociologically of a religion
...and that the light would be turned out on the temple in deference to this false god that so many people are worshiping--I didn't like it.
...I wonder if Al Gore came and made his pitch as a consequence of last weekend's thing, and we've heard [our KNRS 570 newscasters] say that global warming will be discussed at this weekend's general conference. I don't know. ...I hope it's not the case.
These are filthy waters and we ought not to swim in them.
That should give anyone food for thought and ask a simple question about how much control the Mormon Church has over their candidates just not as President but at all levels.  We have experienced it first hand in my state.  We have seen things we have never seen out of any other office holder's religion when it comes to votes and an agenda.  Now we have the two Mormons on the side of the progressives on Global Warming and they dare call themselves conservatives.  Rush is going to have an interesting show tomorrow.
Perry, Romney Differ Sharply on Climate Change
A clear divide has emerged between Republican presidential candidates Rick Perry and Mitt Romney over one issue important to many conservatives — climate change.
Texas Gov. Perry says the climate change issue has been “politicized” and is a “contrived phony mess.” But former Massachusetts Gov. Romney has actually drawn praise from global warming crusader Al Gore for his assertion that humans are contributing to a global environment that is getting warmer.
And some observers say Romney’s stance could very well doom his candidacy.
In his book “Fed Up!” Perry questions the science behind global warming claims and accuses Gore of being a “false prophet of a secular carbon cult.”
He writes: “Draconian policies with dire economic effects based on so-called science may not stand the test of time. Quite frankly, when science gets hijacked by the political left, we should all be concerned.
“It’s all one contrived phony mess that is falling apart under its own weight.”
Asked about his climate change views at a campaign stop in Bedford, N.H., on Wednesday, according to National Journal, Perry stated: “I do think global warming has been politicized.
“We are seeing almost weekly or even daily scientists are coming forward and questioning the original idea that manmade global warming is what is causing our climate to change. Yes, our climate has changed. It has been changing ever since the earth was formed. But I do not buy into a group of scientists who have, in some cases, been found to be manipulating data.”
Perry’s position stands in stark contrast to the views expressed by Romney. The Washington Post reported that at a June 3 town hall meeting in Manchester, N.H., he said: “I don’t speak for the scientific community, of course, but I believe the world’s getting warmer. I can’t prove that, but I believe based on what I read that the world is getting warmer.
“And number two, I believe that humans contribute to that. I don’t know how much our contribution is to that, because I know that there have been periods of greater heat and warmth in the past, but I believe we contribute to that.”
He added that “it’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors.”
Romney’s position pleased Gore, who wrote on his website on June 15: “Good for Mitt Romney.
“The putative Republican presidential front-runner, eager to prove his conservative bona fides, could easily have said what he knew many in his party’s base wanted to hear. Instead, the former Massachusetts governor stuck to the position he has held for many years — that he believes the world is getting warmer and that humans are contributing to it.”
Romney’s statements drew a quite different response from conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh, who told listeners: “Bye-bye, nomination. The last year has established that the whole premise of manmade global warming is a hoax, and we still have presidential candidates that want to buy into it.”

We agree with this statement:
Talking Points Memo observed: “Climate skeptics love Perry,” who “appears poised to take up a view of climate change on the presidential campaign trail that would be right at home in a Sen. James Inhofe floor speech.”
In case you missed it, this Inhofe-Upton bill is still not passed in the Senate and our guess is that it never will be as long Democrats control the leadership in the Senate and the White House.  We can make a difference in 2012 by ousting the liberal, progressive Global Warming office holders and making sure we put no more of them in Congress or the White House.  Bills like this can then be passed to move the economy forward instead of stifle it with too many rules and regulations from the DC bureaucrats:

INHOFE-UPTON INTRODUCE ENERGY TAX PREVENTION ACT

Senator Inhofe on March 03, 2011 introduced S. 482, the Energy Tax Prevention Act of 2011. The bill stops the Obama EPA's back-door cap-and-trade regulations from taking effect, and thereby:
- Protects jobs in America's manufacturing sector;
- Protects consumers from higher energy costs;
- Puts Congress in charge of the nation's climate change policies; and
- Ensures that the public health provisions of the Clean Air Act are preserved.

No More Back-Door Energy Taxes
"As the price of gasoline nears $4 a gallon, consumers can't afford to pay for the Obama EPA's back-door cap-and-trade regulations, which will inevitably mean higher prices for gasoline and electricity," Sen. Inhofe said. "The Energy Tax Prevention Act protects consumers and their budgets."

No Two-Year Delay
"The Energy Tax Prevention Act stops cap-and-trade regulations from taking effect-once and for all," Inhofe continued. "A two-year delay won't help our economy grow or help those searching for work. It does nothing to alleviate the uncertainty plaguing businesses all across America. Simply put, EPA's cap-and-trade regime is bad policy that must be stopped."

Takes Power Away from Unelected Bureaucrats
"The Energy Tax Prevention Act also imposes accountability. It takes power away from unelected bureaucrats and puts it where it belongs: in Congress, where the people can and should decide the nation's climate change policy."

Stops Distortion of Nation's Clean Air Law
The Energy Tax Prevention Act leaves all of the essential provisions of the Clean Air Act intact, ensuring that Americans will be protected from pollution that has direct public health impacts. It also prevents EPA from twisting the Clean Air Act into a bureaucratic obstacle to growth and expansion. "I recognize the tremendous strides businesses and communities have made in reducing air pollution, and I stand ready to modernize the Clean Air Act to make even greater strides in improving public health. But imposing energy taxes through EPA's cap-and-trade regulations and blocking expansion won't make Americans healthier-it will only mean fewer jobs, a higher cost of living, and less growth and innovation."
