"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Texas Governor Perry Set to Announce he is Running for President

Only thing left after this interview with Time magazine is when the official announcement is going to be made. Will it be at the Red State Gathering in South Carolina on Saturday, the NH visit later that day, or speaking to the Republican Club in Iowa on Sunday? We are betting it is the Red State Gathering which he has been slated to speak at for months, but time will tell.

When the Governor officially gets in the race, the whole dynamics of the Republican primary changes as he is not one to allow grass to grow under his boots. Governor Perry has the experience and a record second to none as the Governor of a very, large diverse state that the Obama Government has had as their target for sometime. Mr. Obama is about to have an opponent who has taken him on before and won't back down. Obama's campaign and surrogates will throw everything but the kitchen sink at Perry, probably even that, and he will keep right on moving ahead picking up more support. The biggest thing is that you won't see whine out of Gov Perry that someone is picking on him, he will just fight harder.

This West Texan A&M graduate with four years in the regular Air Force as a C-130 pilot is the real deal.
